Module7 第4课时教学设计
一、教学内容
外研版小学英语五年级上册第七模块第4课时Unit2 Activities 4, 6 & 7。
二、教学目标
1. 能够运用所学的语言知识问答活动6中图片内容。
2. 能大胆演说动物们能做或不能做的事情。
3. 了解k, c, f, ff, v在单词中常见的发音规则。
三、教学重难点
重点：
1. 能听懂、会说句型: I can … Can you …? Yes, I can … and can …, but … can’t … Tigers can’t fly.等句型。
2. 了解k, c, f, ff, v在单词中常见的发音规则。
难点：说说自己能做及不能做的事情并表演。
四、教学准备
1. 单词卡片（可从优教平台下载“Module7 Unit2单词卡片集”直接使用）。
2. 音频（可从优教平台下载使用）。
3. PPT课件。
五、教学设计
Step 1 Warm-up
1. Greeting.
2. Chant “Can or can’t?”
I can swim.
I can write.
He can jump.
She can cook.
They can read.
They can play.
What can’t you do? What can’t he or she do?
What can’t they do? Can or can’t? Can or can’t?
Tell me, tell me. Can you tell me, please?
【设计意图】熟读can与can’t，再次巩固人称代词的具体运用。
Step 2 Presentation
Ask and answer. Then remember and say. （完成课文活动6）
（1）逐一呈现课文图片，学生练习词汇：swim, carry a desk, draw, read books loudly, play chess, ride a bike.
（2）同桌操练问答。
A: I can swim. Can you?
B: No, I can’t. But I can carry a desk. Can you?
A: Yes, I can. And I can draw. Can you?
B: ...
一直操练完这几幅图。
（3）Train game.
全班8列学生同时做开火车游戏。
S1: I can read books loudly. Can you?
S2: Yes, I can. And I can play chess. Can you?
S3: No, I can’t. But I can ride a bike. Can you?
S4: …
哪列学生最快轮完，哪列学生为胜者。
（4）Make a survey in your group.
请学生说说自己及组员能独立完成的事情及还不会做的事情，然后完成表格。
教师可以提供一些图片给学生们参考，最后学生4人一小组，根据表格内容创编chant.

【设计意图】出示他人能做的一些活动并练习演说，再通过完成表格给学生提供了自主探究的机会，获得愉悦的英语学习体会，并间接地告知学生必须培养自己多方面的学习及生活能力。
Step 3 Do and say.（完成课文活动7）

（1）小组讨论，完成表格，在动物能做的一栏表格中画“√”，不会做的一栏中画“×”。
（2）小组派代表进行汇报。
【设计意图】通过拓展动物会做什么及不会做什么，让学生进一步学会运用can和can’t来谈论他人的能力。
Step 4 Consolidation and extension
1. Show the students the passage. Lean it and find ‘‘can/ can’t”.
Helen Keller was born(出生)in America in 1880. As a small child, she became blind and deaf. She can’t see and she can’t hear. Later, Helen Keller had a teacher. The teacher drew letters in Helen Keller’s hand. Helen learned to speak.
Later she learned to read. She can also write. She wrote a book about herself. She went all over the world (全世界). And she lived to be 87. Helen Keller is a model（模范）for blind people and for you and me.
2. 提问学生: What can you do after you read the passage?
【设计意图】引导学生在反复朗读中体会身残志坚、不屈不挠、自强不息、向往生活的顽强精神。
Step 5 Listen and repeat.（完成课文活动4）
1. 播放录音，让学生感受各单词的发音。
2. 再听录音，让学生跟读。
3. 教师板书单词kite, music, 并在字母k和c下面画横线，通过反复读单词，引导学生总结两个画线字母的发音特点：两个字母发音相同。用同样的方法教green, dog; fish，coffee; visit, love几组单词中画线字母的发音。
4. 想想还有哪些单词中的字母或字母组合发[k][g][f][v]音，并读一读。
【设计意图】通过录音及跟读，让学生自己亲身体会不同字母在单词中的相同发音，记忆深刻。
Step 6 Homework
查找一些身残志坚的中外名人的事迹，向他们学习。
谈谈自己今后的学习及生活打算。
