一、教学目标与要求：
1、能读懂明信片中的短文，按照意群读短文，理解短文内容并按要求回答问题。
2、能运用What's the weather like in ...?It’s...and.... 和Is it...? Yes, it is./No, it isn't. 复习巩固本单元核心词汇和句子，正确抄写核心句型。
3、注意培养良好的听力习惯，了解故事，学会关心他人。
二、教学重点及难点：
重点：理解短文内容并完成句子仿写;掌握句子“What's the weather like in ...?It’s...and....和Is it...?Yes, it is./No, it isn't.”的用法和正确书写。
难点：能够综合运用本单元的核心句型，表达自己的意思。
三、教学准备：
课本、点读机、单词卡片,课件。
四、学情分析：
四年级学生学习英语有一年半的时间，对于教材的结构和特点都很熟悉，他们活泼好动，好奇心强，敢于尝试，有一定的逻辑思维能力和语言表达能力，并有很强的自尊心和求知欲。对于学习英语的兴趣已经逐渐显示出自己的个性。情感目标：培养学生的注意力、观察力等综合能力，鼓励学生积极思维，挖掘学生的创新精神。学会根据天气变化关心他人健康。
五、教学过程：
1、 Warm-up
A、日常口语问候交流。如，T：What’s the weather like in Wenchang today?Ss： It’s...and.... 问答。
B、 Let’s sing a song。(呈现课件歌曲，师生拍手跟着唱。)
2、 Revision
（1）、呈现课件单词，快速认读关于天气单词。
（2）、教师快速展示单词卡片，让学生快读抢背单词。教师板书。 cold hot cool warm
sunny snowy windy rainy cloudy
（3）、Play a game:展示课件：Can you guess? What’s the weather like in...?Ss： It’s...and....抽2对学生表演猜一猜。
（4）快速完成30页： Look and match，抽查完成情况。
过渡：Do you know the card? 展示学生制作的卡片，给予肯定和表扬。Ok!John’dad send a card to John. Do you want to know?来导入“Read and write ”的教学。
3、 Presentation
A 、Read and write
（1）、展示Read and write的课件内容。Listen to the radio;Read after the teacher;Two studens to read the card; Read the questions and talk with your partner.
（2）、展示课件：Read the questions and answers two time.
a. What’s the weather like in Sydney?
It’s hot and sunny.
b. Is the water cold in Sydney?
No, it isn’t.
c. Can John’s dad swim outside?
Yes, he can.
B、Look and write
（1）、教师用句型：Is it sunny in Sydney? Ss: Yes, it is。学生回答后，教师边板书边说T：Is it sunny? Ss: Yes, it is.教师在黑板上，一笔一划地示范，学生书空写，教师用红色粉笔书写标点符号，并引导学生注意其书写位置。
（2）、再让学生看外面，T：Is it sunny? Ss: No, it isn’t.
(3)、Use “Is it hot/cold/rainy/snowy? and Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. ”talk with your partner.And then write thesentencs on your book. 让2位学生在黑板上展示，其他的学生在作业本上写，抽查，再师生评价。
（4）、展示课件，教师检查学生标点符号的书写。
（5）、完成30页：点读机播放Listen and tick,抽查听力效果。
C、Story time: 课件展示（2遍）,点读机播放（2遍），课件展示Story time的问题：
（1）What’s the weather like in Dalian?
（2）What’s the weather like in Beijing?
（3）Is it warm in Dali?
（4）、通过课件，教师让学生了解故事，学会关心他人，照顾别人。
4、Homework
（1）、朗读Read and write短文。
（2）、Try to make a new dialogue to talk about the weather with your partner.
