三、Teaching steps
Step 1 Greetings and revision:
Ask and answer like this :
A:Good morning ! B: Good morning !
A:How are you ? B: I'm fine, thanks.And you ?
A:I'm fine,too.
Step 2 Lead in
Play a guessing game and learn new words.
mother’s father (grandpa) father’s mother(grandma)
father and mother(parents) mother’s brother(uncle)
mother’s sister(aunt) uncle’s daughter (cousin)
grandpa’s son (dad) grandpa’daughter(mum)
2.Ss read the words after the teacher
Step3.Practice the words
1.First,teacher says Chinese,Ss say English words.Next,teacher says a word,Ss say an opposite word.(mum—dad, son—daughter,uncle—aunt,and so on).
2.Ask Ss to finish 1a(family tree),And ask a boy and a girl to finish family tree on the blackboard. Then ask Ss to correct wrong words.
Step4.listening.
Liten to the tape,finish1b,1c, Then check the answers.
Step5 have students take out their family photos, teach them how to introduce the family members to others.
Write the sentences on the blackboard

Students work in groups to practice the target language
Ask some students to stand up and introduce their family.
Step6 Writing
Write about a family photo,then tell your classmates about your family.
Ask a boy and a girl to write it on the blackboard,other Ss write it on the paper.Then correct the passages.
Step7 Homework
Write the passage in your exercise books.
