Ⅰ Teaching Objectives
①能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意,并按照正确的语音、语调、意群朗读对话。
②能够在情境中恰当运用核心句型:When is your birthday? My birthday is on April 4th.就生日日期展开问答;运用句型:What will you do for your mum? I’ll cook noodles for her. 表达自己能为家人做些什么。
③能够在语境中理解both of you的意思并能正确发音。
④能够养成用爱回报父母、热情好客等行为与品质。

1. Teaching Emphases

②能够在情境中恰当运用核心句型:When is your birthday? My birthday is on...就生日日期展开问答;运用句型:What will you do for your mum? I’ll cook noodles for her. 表达自己能为家人做些什么。

Students may have difficulty in pronouncing and understanding the phrase “both of you ”.

Ⅲ Teaching Procedure
1. Pre-task(3mins)
① Greeting and Free talk (1mins)
Good morning, class. How are you today?
And ***tell me, how old are you?
Yeah, I know. How about you?
设计意图:在轻松的讨论环节中进入本节课,同时帮助学生回顾数字,在心中初步构建生日的支架。

② Sing the song “When is your birthday?” (2mins)
Good job. Now let’s enjoy the song “When is your birthday?” First listen, and then try to sing after the tape.
设计意图:在歌曲中复习旧知,引出生日的话题,为本课就生日日期的问答做好铺垫,同时开发学生的音乐智能,让学生体验英语学习的快乐。

2. While task(15mins)
①Task One Let’s try(2mins)
Well done. Now what do you see? (课件出示let’s try三人的图片)
Who’s this baby?引导学生猜测
Bingo! He’s Mike’s new cousin. When is the baby’s birthday? Listen and tick.
So who got the answer? March 2nd.
And how old is the baby? A little difficult, who got it? Yes, 15 days. Good listening.
设计意图:利用文本资源巧妙地过渡,在猜测和听中再次感受“生日”这一主题。并且初步感知核心句型:When is...birthday?
②Task two Let’s talk (13mins)
(1)整体感知Let’s talk,回答问题(2mins)
Now let’s listen to the dialogue. When is Chen Jie’s mother’s birthday? When is Mike’s birthday? Listen carefully.【适时板书:When is ___’s birthday? ___’s birthday is on ___.】
设计意图:初步整体感知talk部分,让学生带着问题有目的地听,练习听力。
(2)呈现完整对话内容(3mins)
Lovely, now let’s watch the video and follow it.学生观看并模仿跟读,注意语音语调。重点模仿核心句型以及both of you.
Good job. Next, what will Chen Jie do for her mother on April 4th ? Does Mike like Chinese noodles? Why? (课件呈现talk文本,并引导学生问答)【适时板书句型What will you do for your mum?】
设计意图:整体输入文本,在图片的帮助下理解对话大意,并按照正确的语音、语调、意群朗读对话。
(3)自由朗读对话(3mins)
Ok, now open your book, turn to P41. Read it freely. And check the answers.
Chen Jie will cook noodles for her mum.
And what will you do for your …? Think it over.
设计意图:学生在自由朗读的过程中,教师巡视,并及时纠正部分发音。在完成此项活动之后,学生基本对文本内容比较熟悉,对核心句型和基本句型的问答掌握达到一定水平。
(4)role play(5mins)
Stop here. Now time to role play . Two students in a group, one is Chen Jie, one is Mike. One minutes to prepare. Start.
Who will show for us? First group?
Here I will choose three or four groups to show for us.
设计意图:学生戴上Chen Jie 和Mike的头饰,在表演中消化巩固文本内容,吃透核心句型When is your birthday? My birthday is on April 4th.以及句型What will you do for your mum? I’ll cook noodles for her. 角色表演更使课堂氛围变得更加生动活泼,富有乐趣。

3. Post task(12mins)

Ok, stop here. Next, let’s make a new dialogue .
First, who want to talk with me?
首次师生配合完成对话,然后把时间还给学生,让学生自由组合选取对话并进行练习、展示。


设计意图:通过课间呈现留空的示范对话,并给出温馨小提示,请学生根据实际情况选择和练习对话,获得奖励。在更开放的语境中,学生的综合语言运用能力得到培养。
②make a birthday card for your mum, dad or your friends. (3mins)
We have known both our parents’ and friends’ birthday. Now please take out a paper. What do you want to say to your dears? Please write down some SWEET words or draw a picture.
设计意图:针对教师“语用意识”和学生“语用能力”的现状,设计贴近学生生活实际的有意义的交际活动,提高学生的综合语言运用能力。
