本单元分四课时教授.
Period One
Step1用实物（book, key, schoolbag等）或图片（table, bed, dresser, baseball, bookcase等）教新词。
用句型
What’s it/ this? How about this one?
It’s a ….
并引出新句型Where is the book? It’s on the desk. 把书放在不同位置，引出介词in与under。基础较好的班级可补充教授：in front of, behind, next to, between等介词的学习。
Step 2、简单操练，引出复数句型，并操作Where are the books? They are on the desk. 用keys, pens, rulers等实物来操练。
Step 3、训练in, on, under，不用Is it on the desk? 明知故问。先让学生follow you. Put your…on/ in/ under…. 看谁做得又快又好。请学生到讲台前面来表演，让学生看了桌面东西的摆放，闭眼猜：Is the book in the desk?…. 其他同学回答Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t. 也可让一学生藏东西，同时另一同学背对讲台，猜：Is the pen on the chair?其余同学回答Yes / No.
Step 4、再用复数重复第3步。 [第一课时完]
板书设计：

keys, Is it under the chair? Yes, it is.
sofa, dresser… Are they in the desk? No, they aren’t.
Period Two
Step 1 复习Where is …? It’s …. Where are …? They are …. 及句型Is it …? Are they …? 注：这次把定冠词the 换成物主代词：my, your, his, her. 也可重复第3、4步来复习。
Step 2 检查1a听力训练答案，听力对话让学生复述。
Step 3 同第6步处理2a、2b、3a。
Step 4预习section B部分单词。用问题：
What’s in your bedroom?
Do you have a…in your bedroom?
引出单词学习。

Period Three
Step 1课前故意落下课本、磁带、钢笔等在办公室，问学生：Where is my…？Is it …? Oh. I remember I left them in my office. Now class! Please listen carefully. I’d like someone to go to my office. Bring my things here. My book is on my desk. My pen is in my desk. My tape is under my dictionary.
Step 2板书：My book is on my desk. 并让学生仿造几句，由课桌讲到卧室。训练take, bring，让学生A拿东西给学生B、C、D。
Please take this book to B.
再让B、C、D归还到讲台。
Please bring the book to the teacher’s desk.

11、Section 1a对答案，操练1b、1c，做听力训练2a、2b，完成3a、3b练习。
12、Self check简单处理。[第三课时完]

Period Four
Step 1检查作业，让两名板上画出自己理想房间，并用英语做简单介绍。
Step 2改错练习。给出句子：Book on desk.
引导学生改正：The book is on the desk.
说明：错误1Be 动词不能省掉，同时要注意单复数。
错误2名词前的限定词，用the或物主代词或人名+’s三者任选一个，多了少了都不行。基础好的班级可引申there be句型的学习。

能用所学句型描述自己房间物品的位置。
This is my room. My books are on my desk. My pens and pencils are in my pencil box. The bag is behind the door. My bed is next to the desk. The computer is on my desk, too. Under the bed is my basketball.

询问物品位置 句型Where is/ are…?及其回答; 介词on/ in/ under等词的用法。
教学难点：
让学生画出物品所处的位置、设计理想的“小天地”并加以描述。本单元中Where’s the bag? / Is it on the dresser? / My bag is on the chair等句中的the （定冠词）的用法。
重难点注释：
1．句型Where’s…?及其回答
如果询问某物或某人在哪里，可用Where is…? 这一句型。这一问句的结构与中文完全不同，Where一词的意思是“在哪里”，后面用一般疑问句句型。如：
“Where is (Where’s) your pen?” “It’s here.”
“你的钢笔在哪儿？”“在这儿。”
“Where are the chairs?” “They’re at the table.”
“椅子在哪儿？”“在桌子旁。”
2. 介词in, on, under
in 表示“在……中”“在……内”。如：in my bag 在我包里； in the desk 在课桌里
on表示“在……上”。如：on the wall 在墙上； on the floor 在（室内）地上
under 表示“在……下”。如：under the chair 在椅子下 ；under the tree 在树下
3. I don’t know. 我不知道。
