Ⅴ.Teaching Procedures:
Step1. Review and Lead-in
Teacher show some things and ask some questions. Like this:
T: What’s this?
Ss: It’s an eraser
T: Where is it?
Ss: It’s on the desk.
Then teacher put out the soccer ball and ask
T: What’s this?
Ss: It’s a football.
T: Yes, we can also call it “soccer ball”. I have a soccer ball.
Do you have a soccer ball?
Then show the topic “Unit5 Do you have a soccer ball?” on the screen.
Step2. Learning Aims
Show the learning aims on the screen. And explain them to the students.
Step3. Show words
Show the pictures about the balls on the screen. Let students say the words. Pay attention to the pronunciation. Ask students to read in different ways till they can master
Check if they can say. Ask different students to say.
Step4. Sentences
①Show the following words on the screen.
I have a soccer ball
I have some books
I have an eraser
Let students imitate the sentences to make sentences. Teacher asks some students to say. Then show the pictures about the boy and the girl. Let students try to say. “Bob/He has a ruler. Alice /She has a pencil”. Ask “why use ‘has’?” and summary.
② Group Work
Ask students to work in groups of four. Make conversations like this.
S1: I have a pencil.
S2: He has a pencil. I have a book
S3: He has a pencil. She has a book.
I have an eraser.
S4: He has a pencil. She has a book.
He has an eraser. I have some pens.
③ Teacher say “I have a soccer ball. Do you have a soccer ball?” First, let Ss try to answer. Then play the recording let Ss listen how to answer. And finish the blanks.
-Do you have a ping-pong bat ?
-Yes, I _____
Do you have a ping-pong ball ?
No, I ______
Teach the sentences how to read.
④ Show a picture about different ball. Ask students to use the above sentences to make conversations. Then ask some pairs to show.
⑤ Show the pictures about different people. Ask “我想知道Jim有没有一辆自行车该怎么问呢?” Let Ss try to say. Then show the sentences.
A: Does … have …?
B: Yes, he/she does.
No, he/she doesn’t
⑥ Ask Ss work in pairs and practice the sentences according to the pictures. Give them several minutes. Then ask some pairs to show.
Step5. Listening

Let students listen to the recording and number the pictures. First let Ss to read the names on the pictures. Remind them to pay attention to the names. Then play the recording. Last, check the answers.

Listen again and number the balls. Look at the balls and say first. Then play the recording. At last, check the answers.
3. Listen again if the people have the balls. If he/she has, please draw
“√”. If he/she doesn’t have, please draw “×”

Show the example first. Then let Ss work in pairs and practice the conversations.
