一、教材依据
人教版（新目标）八年级上册第八单元Section B第一课时。
二．教材分析
本单元谈论的话题食物制作（cooking）,目标是 能正确描述制作步骤并依照指示语完成步骤。本节课是Section B第一课时，首先利用图片和实物导入新课， 从而引出新课词汇。采用任务型教学法和实物教学法，通过竞赛等形式，充分调动学生的积极性，让学生自主掌握教学目标。通过对“my sandwich”的大胆设想训练孩子们口语表达，培养孩子们丰富的想象力和创新能力，同时也让他们懂得食物的来之不易，不能浪费食物, 他人的劳动成果要珍惜。
三．设计理念
面向全体学生，在教师的引导下，通过多媒体设计各种图片帮助学生加深对所学语言的理解，创设较真实的情境， 在真实的情境种去动手，去感知， 去体会，激发学生用英语进行交流的热情，通过竞赛等形式，充分调动学生的积极性，注重过程评价，促进学生发展。形成一定的综合语言应用能力。
四、教学目标：
1. 语言知识：
1) 能掌握以下单词：sandwich, butter, turkey, lettuce, piece
2) 能掌握以下句式结构：
─Do you like lettuce in a sandwich?
─Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
2. 过程与方法
以学生主体，采用任务型教学和实物教学的方法
3. 情感态度价值观：
1）在活动中渗透中西方餐饮文化，了解西餐的制作方法在语言的运用中感受中西方饮食文化的不同。
2）通过食物制作过程的介绍和操作, 让学生认识到劳动成果的来之不易, 使之懂得不能浪费食物, 珍惜他人的劳动成果。

六、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming up and revision
1. Daily greetings.
2. Review how to make the popcorn:
S1：First, put half a cup of corn into the popcorn machine.
S2：Next, turn on the machine．
S3: Then, pour the popcorn into a bowl.
S4: Finally, put some salt. You can eat it.
Ⅱ. Presentation
show some ingredients then ask Ss that what ingredients they need.
Let them make a list.

1. Talk about the ingredients they like in the sandwich.
2. S1: Do you like lettuce in a sandwich?

3. Let Ss ask and answer in pairs.

3. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle.

1. T: Now please look at the chart in 1d. Tell Ss to listen again and write the ingredients in the order they hear them.
2. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to fill in the blanks.
