一、Lead in, before class, ask the students to finish the exercises below.

Step Ⅰ writing and speaking
1、Make a list of the description words we have learned.
2、Ask the students to talk about their last vacations, Try to introduce the usage of the description words.
3、Read the adjectives in 1a and match them with the pictures below. And then try to make a simple sentence according to the pictures.
4、Finish 1b: Invite two students come to the board. and make faces according to the description words.
Step Ⅱ listening
1、First read the questions in 1c and 1d to make clear their meaning.
(Before listening, it is necessary to make students know what the task is and what information they should catch from the listening. Also, some writing strategies should be stressed.)
2、Listen and finish the tasks.
(As for activity 1d, students can try to predict the adjectives the are going to hear before listening.)
3、Check the answers.
4、Read the listening material following the tape.
