一、教学目标:

① I like to watch action movies because they’re exciting.
② John wants to watch talk shows because they’re enjoyable.

了解他人对不同的电影或电视剧的看法,明白不同的人有不同的喜好,从而明确人们喜好的差异性。

1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。

三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Brainstorm
教师通过思维导图(mind map)的方式引导学生按照语义学习和记忆本单元词汇。教师从本单元的话题词entertainment入手,让学生进行头脑风暴,并按照不同的类别将学生说出的词汇与话题词entertainment建立联系
Ⅱ. Presentation
Step 1: Differ the singular and plural forms of the names of the movies.-
A comedy-comedies an action movie-action movies
A scary movie-scary movies a cartoon-cartoons
Step2:New words

创设情境,学习新单词educational, meaningless, enjoyable等形容词。

Step 3 :Work on 1a
1. classify the words into the positive words and negative words.
2.Work with your partners. Ask and answer about the movies or shows.
3. Let Ss talk about the movies or shows with the words in 1a.
4. Let some pairs ask and answer in front of the class.
Step4: Listening
Work on 1b:
1. Tell Ss to listen and circle the description words you hear in the box in 1a.
2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle the words.
3. Play the recording and check the answers with the Ss.

课后反思:
第一环节通过思维导图进行温故知新,对词汇的习得效果还不错。它可以帮助学生明确词汇的各种语义和形式联系,形成意义组块,构建词汇心智图,合理,系统地将新知识融入已有的认知结构。
2.创设情境,学习新单词educational, meaningless, enjoyable等形容词。能够让学生词不离句,加深对单词的运用。
3.第四环节听力的处理取得的效果也不错。通过一问一答的方式校对练习,再一次运用了本课时的核心词汇和句子。再通过Report的方式,不仅能对语言进行进一步的运用,同时也为本单元的写作铺垫了很好的基础。再通过挖空的形式补全短文,能进一步对本课时的核心词汇和句子进行运用,同时又为本单元的写作奠定基础。
4.Report P40(4):这个环节处理得不好。没有精选,导致时间不够。把这个环节改成P40(1d)效果会更好。
